Yunhui Peng, Postdoctoral Fellow, NCBI, NIH (co-supervised with Dr David Landsman)

March 2019 -

Yunhui Peng received B.S. from Xi'an Jiaotong University in China and Ph.D. in Computational Biophysics from Clemson University, USA. During his graduate work, he applied computational approaches to investigate disease-associated missense mutations and rescue the mutational effects by small-molecule binding. Currently, he is working on combining molecular modeling, bioinformatics approaches, and experimental data to investigate the nucleosome dynamics, nucleosome-partner interactions, and the roles of histone cancer mutations in oncogenesis.

Yunhui likes being outdoors in nature. One of his favorite things to do is going for a hike in the mountain or a beautiful park. During holidays, he likes to travel to national parks to explore the beauty of nature and take some lovely photos. He is also interested in sports such as basketball, tennis, ping-pong, and badminton. When at home, he enjoys cooking, watching movies, and reading in his spare time.
