Austin Macklem, MSc student (Co-supervised with Maria Aristizabal)

Austin received his BSc from Wilfrid Laurier University (2020), with a major in biology and a concentration in molecular biology and genetics. He worked at Pembroke Regional Hospital (2020-2021) then the Limestone Sleep Clinic (2021-2022) as a Polysomnographic Technologist. He is currently investigating the epigenetic effects of H2B mutations in cancer patients by using computational biology and in vivo approaches in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
