Human Histone Interactome is a result of a comprehensive mapping of human histone interaction data taken from structural, chemical cross-linking and various high-throughput studies. It includes interactions of histones with other proteins and interactions of histone globular domains and histone tails with DNA. The combined histone global interaction network encompasses 5308 proteins and 10,330 interactions. Locations of binding sites are provided for those interactions derived from structural and chemical-crosslinking data: some histone binding interfaces are conserved between histone variants and others are histone variant specific.
