Dhyan Thakkar, M.Sc. Student in Physics

September 2025 -

Dhyan received his Honours B.Sc. in Physics & Computer Science from York University (2025). During his undergraduate studies, he worked on projects spanning machine learning, data engineering, and computational physics.

His research focuses on using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to study nucleosomes, combined with machine learning and deep learning approaches for analysis. Through this work, he aims to better understand the structural and dynamic properties of chromatin and their implications for biological function.

In his spare time, Dhyan enjoys staying active through weightlifting and outdoor activities, watching historical documentaries, and listening to true crime podcasts.
